This course will provide participants with an extensive knowledge of key exercise discipline and all the practical skills needed to apply anatomy and physiology principles to fitness, assess fitness levels and work with medical and allied health professionals.
The program enables the participants to understand the effect of exercise on the body, real-world issues such as barriers to participation, performance pathways, coaching and teaching practice, including governmental provisions and influence on sports…and also learn how to plan, adapt and deliver exercise programs to suit the specific needs of seniors, groups, individuals or team, and apply motivational psychology so that health and fitness goals are achieved.
These educational programs can be physically demanding and a good level of health is required, in which exhibits a mixture of classroom-based sessions (to introduce theories and concepts) and hands-on performances.
(AMACS) International certification level III or IV in Sports Coaching or Fitness or Sport & Rec competencies, including Cert. IV in Trainer & Assessor (TAA) will be issued upon a successful completion, in which facilitate opportunities for participants to undertake independent employment, placement and/or with limited guidance in a range of fitness industry businesses such as fitness centres, gyms, aquatic facilities, education institutions and community sport centres.
