AUSTRALIAN PUBLIC SAFETY AND LAW INSTITUTE TACTICAL DEFENSIVE SHOOTING program allows learners to develop the necessary specified knowledge and skills required to safely and legally carry, operate and maintain weapons for security purposes within other authoritative governmental agencies, and is particularly relevant to modern-day law enforcement regardless of level or experience to become competent, emotionally and physically responsiveness that work in a wide variety of circumstances during confrontation -- and effectual self-defense DECISION-MAKER in the field of real-world through a critical life-threatening incident, whether a hostage situation, robbery, or active shooter, including their structural training to the next level.

In this exciting and dynamic comprehensive program will impart the latest and most operational techniques drawn from both the experience of threat dynamics instructors, as well as the best practices learned from the law enforcement industry. It requires the ability to analyse risk factors and intentions of offenders and/or criminal hostilities and victimization in an environment where extreme violence encounters (attacks with weapon, knife or assaulted), while remaining acutely aware of reasonable use-of-force and civil liability issues facing law enforcement nowadays.

Also, the program will form part of the licensing and legal requirements for the use of weapons by authorized law enforcement (Police) and officers working in the security industry in their territories where these are regulated activities.
